Privacy policy
Effective date: October 1, 2026
Silver Mana Works LLC ("we", "us") makes the Object Containment Devices app for iPhone and Android and runs objectcontainmentdevices.com. This policy explains what information the apps, the website and our servers collect, why, who else receives it, and how to have it deleted.
The short version
- We collect what we need to save your designs, make the device you order, charge you for it and ship it to you.
- Card details go straight to our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- The camera is used only for the life-size AR preview. Camera images stay on your phone and are never recorded or uploaded.
- We do not sell your information, show ads, or track you across other companies' apps and websites.
- You can delete your account, and the information tied to it, from inside the app.
Information we collect
| Information | What it includes | How we get it |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Email address and an account ID. If you sign in with Google, the name, email address and profile photo Google shares. If you sign in with Apple, your name and either your email or an Apple private relay address. Your password is handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see it. | You, when you create an account or sign in |
| Designs | Each device you design: its name, number, drawer dimensions, divider layout, and when it was created and changed | You, as you design; saved to your account so it syncs between your devices |
| Orders | Order number, a copy of the design you ordered, quantity, price, payment status, refunds, receipt link, tracking number, carrier and delivery dates | Created when you place an order and updated as it is made and shipped |
| Shipping and contact | Your name, shipping address and phone number | You, in the checkout form provided by Stripe |
| Payment | Card details | You, in Stripe's checkout form. Stripe processes them; we receive only the payment result and limited details such as billing country |
| Notifications | A push notification token for your device, linked to your account | Your phone, if you allow notifications |
| Diagnostics and usage | Crash reports, and app usage events such as app opens and screens viewed, with your device model, operating system, app version, language, country and a random app installation ID | Automatically, through Google Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics |
| Security checks | A signal from Apple (App Attest or DeviceCheck) or Google (Play Integrity) that requests come from a genuine copy of the app | Automatically, through Google Firebase App Check |
| Support messages | Whatever you choose to include when you email us | You |
| Server and website logs | IP address, browser or app information and the time of each request to our servers | Automatically, by our hosting provider, Google Cloud |
The app reads your clipboard only when you tap Paste Sign-In Link while signing in by email. The website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics. It loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when you visit. The page for deleting your account also loads Google Firebase's sign-in code. If you ask it to email you a sign-in link, it saves your email address in your browser until you use the link, so it knows which account the link is for. It keeps no sign-in session after you leave the page. If you sign in there with Google or Apple, their sign-in windows run on their own sites, under their own privacy policies and cookies.
Camera and AR preview
The app asks for camera access only to show your design life-size inside your drawer. The camera feed, and any depth or scene data your phone computes from it, is processed on your phone and discarded as you go. We do not take photos, record video, save images or send any camera data to our servers or anyone else. You can turn camera access off at any time in your phone's settings; everything else in the app keeps working.
On iPhone, the preview uses Apple's ARKit. On Android, it uses Google Play Services for AR (ARCore), which is provided by Google and governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
How we use information
- To run your account and keep your designs in sync across your devices.
- To make and deliver your order: checking and pricing the design, taking payment, fabricating the device, buying a shipping label and tracking the parcel.
- To keep you informed: Stripe emails your receipt to your account email, the carrier sends delivery updates, and the app shows order status and, if you allow it, sends notifications when an order ships, is delivered or is refunded.
- To support you when you contact us, including looking up your orders by your email address.
- To keep the service secure and prevent fraud, for example confirming requests come from the genuine app and letting Stripe screen payments.
- To fix and improve the app using crash reports and usage events.
- To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records.
We do not use your information for advertising, sell it, or combine it with information from other companies to build a profile of you. We do not share it with third-party AI services.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers below, only for the purposes described in this policy. We use providers that are bound by their own terms and privacy commitments to protect your information at least as well as this policy does, and to use it only to provide their service to us.
| Provider | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Firebase and Google Cloud) | Account details, designs, orders, push tokens, diagnostics, usage events, logs | Sign-in, database, hosting, notifications, crash reporting, analytics and security checks. Google Sign-In if you use it. Privacy policy |
| Stripe | Card details, name, shipping address, phone, account email, order amount and design name | Payments, receipts and fraud prevention. If you use Stripe's Link to save your details, Stripe handles them under its own terms. Privacy policy |
| Shippo | Name, shipping address, phone and email | Buying shipping labels and tracking parcels. Privacy policy |
| USPS, FedEx, and UPS | Name, shipping address, phone and email | Delivering your parcel and sending delivery updates |
| Apple | Sign in with Apple and notification delivery on iPhone; the App Attest or DeviceCheck signal | Sign-in, notifications and security checks. Privacy policy |
When you tap a tracking number, the app opens the carrier's tracking page, or a Google search for the number if the carrier isn't recognized, so that site receives the tracking number.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights or safety of our customers or others, or to a buyer or successor if Silver Mana Works LLC's business is sold or reorganized. In that case this policy continues to apply to information collected under it.
Information kept on your device
The app saves your designs on your phone so they work offline, and remembers your last shipping name, address and phone number so you don't have to type them again. It also keeps your sign-in session and your appearance setting. Your designs and settings are included in your phone's own backups (iCloud or Google) if you have backups turned on. Your shipping details are not: they stay on that phone only. Signing out clears your shipping details but keeps your designs, in case you sign back in. Deleting your account removes both. Orders aren't stored on your phone; the app gets them from our servers when you open them.
How long we keep information
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Account and designs | Until you delete them or your account; deleting your account deletes them straight away. Deleting a single design leaves a small marker (its number and deletion time, not the design) so your other devices know to remove it. |
| Orders | Until you delete your account, when they are deleted straight away. Stripe and Shippo keep their own records of your payments, refunds and shipments, as described below. |
| Shipping address and phone | We don't keep a copy on our servers. Stripe and Shippo keep them with your payment and shipment records for as long as their own legal and accounting obligations require, including after you delete your account. We can't delete those records. |
| Push tokens | Until you sign out, delete your account, or the token stops working (for example, you uninstall the app). |
| Crash reports and usage events | 90 days for crash reports, and 2 months for individual usage events. After that we keep only overall totals, which can't be traced to you. |
| Server logs | Up to 30 days. |
| Support emails | As long as needed to resolve your request. |
Your choices and rights
Delete your account. In the app, go to Extras → Delete account, or sign in at objectcontainmentdevices.com/delete-account. You'll be asked to confirm, and to sign in again if you last signed in more than a few minutes ago. We then delete, straight away and permanently, your sign-in account, your saved designs, your order history and your notification registrations, and the app removes what it kept on your phone. If you used Sign in with Apple, we also revoke our app's access to your Apple ID. The app tells you when it's done.
If an order is still being made or on its way, we'll ask you to wait until it arrives, so we can finish and deliver it; nothing is deleted until then. Stripe and Shippo keep their own records of your payments and shipments, as described under "How long we keep information". If you can't use the app or website, email us and we'll delete your account for you.
Delete individual designs at any time in the app.
Withdraw permissions. You can turn off camera access or notifications in your phone's settings at any time. The app works without them, except the AR preview and order notifications.
See, correct or get a copy of your information. Email us and we'll respond within 45 days. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under your state's privacy law. We honor these requests for every customer, and we won't treat you differently for making one.
We don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in California law, and we don't use it for targeted advertising.
Security
Information travels between the app and our servers over encrypted connections. Your designs and orders are stored in Google Cloud in the United States, and each account can reach only its own. Card details never pass through our systems. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we limit access to what's needed to run the service.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it. You must be 18 or older to place an order, as our terms of sale explain.
Where we operate
We sell and ship only within the United States, and we store and process information in the United States. If you use the app from elsewhere, your information is transferred to the United States.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above. For significant changes, we'll also tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
